The PECB Certified ISO 37301 Foundation training course introduces the basic concepts of compliance and the requirements of ISO 37301 for a Compliance Management System (CMS). In this course, you will learn about key aspects of a CMS, including compliance policy, compliance culture, compliance risk assessment, operational controls, performance measurement, leadership and commitment, internal audits, management review, and continual improvement. After completing the training, you can sit for the exam and, if successful, apply for the “PECB Certificate Holder in ISO 37301 Foundation” credential. This internationally recognized certificate demonstrates that you possess the professional knowledge required to contribute to an ISO 37301 CMS implementation project. To further enhance your expertise, participants can advance to ISO 37301 Lead Implementer Training, ISO 37301 Lead Auditor Course, or the ISO 37301 Transition training courses.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, participants will understand fundamental compliance management concepts, definitions, and approaches; become acquainted with ISO 37301 requirements for a CMS; and gain a general understanding of how an organization can meet these requirements effectively.

Educational approach

The course is participant-centered and includes lecture sessions with graphics, examples, and discussions, along with interactive exercises. Quizzes are designed in the same structure as the certification exam to reinforce learning and prepare participants for certification.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course, making it accessible to all professionals interested in building foundational compliance management knowledge.

Course agenda

Day 1: Introduction to compliance concepts, CMS, and clauses 4–6 of ISO 37301
Day 2: Clauses 7–10 of ISO 37301 and the certification exam

Examination

The exam fully meets the PECB Examination and Certificate Programme requirements, covering fundamental concepts and principles of compliance and the CMS, as well as ISO 37301 requirements (clauses 4–10).

General information

Certification and examination fees are included in the training price. Participants will receive over 200 pages of instructional material with practical examples. An attendance record worth 14 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be issued. In case of exam failure, participants can retake the exam once within 12 months of the initial attempt.
